Xuzhou is located in the northwest part of Jiangsu Province. It is in the southeast of the North China Plain. Xuzhou has a unique geographical location. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through it. The Longhai and Beijing-Shanghai railways meet at Xuzhou. Xuzhou is an important economic, commercial and foreign trade center of Jiangsu Province.


The climate in Xuzhou is very suitable for living. Xuzhou has a very long history, with many historical celebrities and famous historical sites here. Xuzhou cuisine is an important type of traditional Chinese food. Its history can be traced back to the Emperor Yao period in the ancient times. The food culture of Xuzhou has a history of more than 4000 years.

2.Misandao

The cook usually cuts the pork belly into rectangles and braise the skin. In terms of cooking, pork meat belongs to the type braised in sauce or soy sauce. The staple food is rice and cubes of meat tied with thread or long strips of meat. The characteristics of the meat are: fat but not greasy, rich in taste and flavor and the flesh color is mouth-watering. Bazi Meat is one of the traditional Chinese food and is famous for its delicious taste.


4.Eight-piece fritters

Eight-piece fritters is a famous local snack in Xuzhou, Jiangsu. The dough is made into strips and eight dough strips are combined together to be fried. It tastes crisp, fragrant and delicious. It has distinct shapes. It has a history of more than 200 years in Xuzhou. The main ingredients are flour, peanut oil and edible salt. This food has high requirements for heat control and needs to be fried to golden color. There are two kinds of shapes of this food: wheel shape and oval shape. The finished product is golden in color, crisp and beautiful in fragrance. It was named "Chinese Famous Snack" in 2000.
