2021-08-11 197

Are you planning a travel to China? Autumn is the best time for you to visit China. From the mountains of Jilin down to the nature reserves of Sichuan, these are the best place you should visit in China during the autumn season. MyStudyChina selects the top 5 places for you to travel during autumn.

Sichuan-Daocheng Yading Nature Reserve!

Yading Nature Reserve is called the "the last pure land on earth" and "the last Shangri-La". It features snow-capped mountains, crystal clear lakes, vast grasslands, and colorful forests. You can tour it by starting from Chengdu and passing through Xinduqiao, a picturesque Tibetan town famous for its plateau pasture views, before arriving at Daocheng Yading Nature Reserve. You will see stunning fall scenery throughout the whole trip.

Beijing: Great Wall!

Trees line the Great Wall of China for much of its 4,000-mile length. Some of them come up above the wall, so that when you are walking along the ramparts you can see a long, continuous line of red and yellow. You might have read that Badaling is the most popular section to visit in autumn, as it is home to Badaling Forest Park with its amazing sea of red-leafed trees.

Guilin: Longji Rice Terraces!

Longji (literally Dragon’s Backbone) Rice Terraces, AKA Longji Terraced Fields, are large-scale terraced fields in Guilin. The area consists of three minority ethnic villages- Jinkeng Red Yao Village, Ping’an Zhuang Village, and Longji Ancient Zhuang Village, all of which have their own distinct views and culture.

Most travelers come here for hiking or photography. Many photo fanatics even come for sunrise. Additionally, visitors can join in local activities, taste homemade dishes, and experience living heritage- like weaving and farming. You can see how humans live in harmony with nature here.

Gansu: Zhangye Danxia Landform!

Zhangye, another important city along China’s Silk Road, is famous for its dreamlike Zhangye Danxia Landform. The Rainbow Mountains here are formed from red sandstone influenced by millions of years of weathering and erosion and some mostly unknown geological activity. These colorful rock striations have drawn the eyes of photographers from home and abroad for years.

Xinjiang- Kanas Lake!

China’s westernmost province, Xinjiang, is chock-full of natural beauty, but its many spectacular lakes take the cake. The crescent moon-shaped Kanas Lake, which lies in the Altai Mountains, is famous for its turquoise waters and mythical Kanas Lake Monster. Though picturesque year-round, Kanas Lake really shines in the autumn, as the surrounding trees burst into colors as vibrant as the milky blue of the lake itself.
